New collaborations
In 2024, 4TU.ResearchData contributed to two SURF-funded projects:
- The SURF/DCC project ‘Next generation research data repositories’ - making archived data directly explorable without download by using interactive notebooks, has been successfully completed. The project has been led by University of Twente (Serkan Girgin) and has resulted in theOpen Data Explorer platform.
- The SURF/DCC project ‘Integrated Data Submission System’ - bringing the main Dutch research data repositories together through the creation of an integrated data submission system, was a joint effort between 4TU.ResearchData and DANS. The developed deposit workflow is implemented in a demo environment. The link to the repository selector is made available on 4TU.ResearchData’s test environmentin order to test the system more broadly.
Moreover, in 2024 4TU.ResearchData became an organisational member of the Research Data Alliance, a member of the World Data System and a direct member of DataCite. These collaborations further strengthen our relationship with key international communities in the research data and open science landscape.
