  • Successful business case for addressing the demand of RDM101 courses for PhD candidates

Data stewardship

  • Further growth of the data stewards team (a few faculties are now in the process of hiring/considering hiring) additional data stewards!
  • Successful adoption of the new ‘Data Steward’ UFO profile

Digital Competence Centre (DCC)

  • Development of a sustainability plan for the DCC based on successful engagement in long-term projects with the research community
  • Publication of the interactive DCC Dashboard which displays the DCC projects completed since 2019 and those currently in progress

FAIR Data and the transition to Open Science

The role of FAIR data in Open Science was defined in the WUR (Wageningen University and Research) Open Science and Education Programme. The two focus areas of FAIR research output are research data infrastructure (technology) and data stewardship (people). In the past year, Yoda has been successfully implemented at WUR. Yoda is a data management platform where research data and its associated metadata can be stored, shared and archived, in one easy workflow.

Data Stewards at WUR have increased their expertise by participating in a series of knowledge sessions, organised by WUR Library in collaboration with IT, Privacy Officers and Information Security Officers.

In November 2022, the Data Steward community joined the Model Steward community in an all-day Data and Model Steward Workshop, showcasing the tools and best practices within WUR for data and model management.
